Since September, I have worked on a project with DFW(Digital Fashion Week) and NomadX. The project is to plan a pop-up event to celebrate and promote DFW’s store launch in NomadX. After 3-months preparation, the event was finally open on 29th November. Take a look at the behind scene!
At a late night of 28th November, we went to the store to bring props for the event including a long table, 3 analog TVs and an easel which are the major installations. On 29th, we started to locate the props and decorate the space with posters and stickers made by a design team from morning to afternoon.
There are 3 parts of the event with 3 different installations. First one is with a table where you can pick stickers and get them tattoo on your skin. Then, you can move on to the second part where a video contributed by a production team played on the 3 analog TVs. At the last part, you can see the easel and play with crayons.
The event has been done for 3 hours with 2 sessions. During the first session, we had almost 30 guests. We helped them to understand the event and interact with different installations. On the second session, we had a street artist Song to show his painting and to ask for t-shirt customization which made the guests more engaged with the event.
Completing the event, I found why teamwork is important especially when the team is the whole class. Every single member has contributed their effort to their own group work, and each team tried to understand what other groups are doing and cooperate with them. This project was a good opportunity for me to learn importance of a good teamwork and cooperation.
