Behind The Scene: My S/S LookBook

Updated: Sep 12, 2018

Since after I started blogging, I planned to make my Spring/Summer lookbook, which I had in my mine for a long time. As a fashion marketing student, I have made some lookbooks for my school project and internship. During the project or the internship, I could not completely express my ideas to the lookbooks as there were certain requirements or limitations on them. This personal work, however, let me express most of my ideas and personal styles.

Photoshoot was done in Malaysia, and it took me a week to finish. For a whole day, I explored good spots to takes photos. Some of the photos were taken by my boyfriend but I took most of them with a tripod to improve my photography skills and show them in the lookbook. I prepared six different daily looks; two of them are sleeveless, another two are dresses and the other two are t-shirts. Many items, except for tops, were repeated to show how to mix and match with the least fashion items because usually students do not have many clothes.

While on the photoshoot, it struggled with some unexpected situations especially with the weather. For three days of shooting, the weather was cloudy all day so it was very hard to make the sky and the background look nice enough in the camera. Also, it was hard for me to take photos of myself at a nice angle with a tripod but it is a valuable experience since I am very enthusiastic in photography and would like to improve my photography skills.
